Dr. Stenehjem joined Physicians' Diagnostics & Rehabilitation in January of 2009 after working at Park Nicollet for four years in a musculoskeletal-based practice with an emphasis on spinal rehabilitation. She earned her medical degree from the University of North Dakota, School of Medicine in 2000, and completed her residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Rusk Rehabilitation Center at the University of Missouri in 2004. Dr. Stenehjem is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (2005), and has undergone postgraduate training in medical acupuncture (2006-2007).
Dr. Stenehjem has special interests in musculoskeletal medicine and rehabilitation, including the treatment of neck and back pain and acupuncture for musculoskeletal conditions; as well as rehabilitation of rheumatologic/arthritic conditions.
Dr. Stenehjem strives to be a compassionate and caring physician who provides the "highest quality of care possible for my patients". Her goal is to work with an interdisciplinary team who strives to "improve the function and quality of everyday life for each of our patients".
