
William S. Ahlenius, M.D., PM&R

Dr. Ahlenius joined Physicians' Diagnostics & Rehabilitation in February of 2010 after working at Sister Kenny Rehabilitation Institute for two years in their inpatient rehabilitation center; as well as outpatient clinics for rehabilitation of neck and back pain, spinal cord injury, and musculoskeletal injuries. He earned his medical degree from the University of California, Davis School of Medicine in 2002, and then completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2006.
Dr. Ahlenius became board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in 2008, and he has special interests in musculoskeletal spinal pathology, as well as spinal pain syndromes.
Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Ahlenius spent a year studying abroad, and taught bilingual Spanish/English classes for four years before studying medicine. His international experiences have enabled him to better relate to and understand our culturally diverse patient population, which helps him to earn their trust.
