The treatment of recent onset back pain is completely different than for persistent or recurrent back pain. Therapy for chronic back pain (pain lasting longer than two months) differs greatly from traditional physical therapy (e.g. ultrasound, massage, muscle stimulation, hot packs, traction) for back pain of recent onset.  In patients with chronic back pain, muscular weakness and loss of flexibility must first be addressed before meaningful changes can be made.

Diagnoses that respond well to MedX rehabilitation include sciatica, lumbar strain and weakness, spondylolesthesis, disc herniation, patients whom have undergone surgery, fibromyalgia, pregnancy and disc degeneration.  Many of our patients have been in car accidents or have been injured on the job.  While for others, the cause of their pain is unknown, with a gradual onset over time.

If pain has affected your life, you may be a great candidate for our program!
