At PDR, we've utilized an active approach in a fun, safe and effective manner with over 10,000 patients   (and after treating this many patients, we've learned what works and what doesn't!).  To accomplish this, we use specialized rehabilitation machines called MedX to increase strength and decrease pain in order to increase your ability to drive, working at the computer, or reading among other things.  This is one of the many reasons our success rate exceeds that of traditional therapy.

lumbarrotation

  • Prevention of back surgery: Recent HealthPartners analysis found that only 1.5% require surgery following completion of our MedX rehab program
  • It has been shown that insufficient strength in the lumbar muscles is one of the major factors related to the development of low back pain
  • A scientific study found significant weakening of the low back (multifidi) muscles in 80% of patients with low back pain*
  • Research using MedX to rehabilitate multifidi muscles boast nearly 80% success rate
