post-cancer-rehabilitation-programThe Post-Cancer Rehabilitation Program at Physicians’ Diagnostics & Rehabilitation offers treatment to patients with an oncology diagnosis and/or undergoing chemotherapy treatment which have resulted in generalized weakness and functional limitations, especially when chronic spinal pain is a primary complaint. The mission of this program is to maximize functional independence through functional training, core stabilization and endurance training, patient education and other rehabilitation strategies needed to address the individual goals/needs of the patient. Patients referred to this program should be medically stable and demonstrate a potential for improved functional independence.

Our multidisciplinary team consists of physiatrists (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physicians) and advanced practice therapists, including both physical and occupational therapists. Each of our clinicians undergo annual postgraduate training specific to manual therapy techniques for spinal pain, as well as a monthly internal training program for continued skill development. More importantly, our clinicians strive to build the relationships essential to improving our patient’s quality of life, not just provide a medical service. At PDR, we strive to give hope to patients by giving them a reason to believe they will be able to manage a more active lifestyle.
